Unlike many of her previous colleagues in the Transformers series, an MCU resurrection doesn’t appear to be in the cards for Famke Janssen’s Jean Gray.
the X-Men The star says Marvel/Disney has never asked her to return as the telekinetic superhero, although she is constantly asked whether or not she would reprise the character on screen, including in the upcoming film. Avengers: Doomsday.
“It’s interesting. I didn’t realize this was such a big part. Every interview I do, it’s going to get mentioned, and out of everything I say, this is going to be the only thing that’s going to be printed,” Janssen said in a recent interview. However, Janssen was not offended. In fact, she’s so happy her portrayal of Jean Gray has maintained a passionate fanbase over the years.
“I think I should be flattered that this character has resonated with people. It’s been a long time coming, but it’s good that people are still talking about it. I’m sure every time there’s a new movie they do, like… [is it] doomsday? “He will come again,” she added.

Speaking to Screen Rant in October, the actress admitted she had no idea what to expect from it Avengers: Doomsday.
“To be honest with you, I don’t really know the story, so I’m not sure. It’s not my world, and it never was my world, really, the whole comic book world. I should know by now, I’ve been in it long enough. But I’m really excited to see when it comes out. Just like everyone else, I’ll find out what those stories are and how the whole thing ends.”
Janssen first played Jean Grey, also known as Phoenix, in the 2000s X-Men. She also appeared as a character in 2003 X2: X-Men United And 20006 X-Men: The Last Standand made a brief cameo in 2013 Wolverine And 2014 X-Men: Days of Future Past.
